Fifty Shades of Pathology

posted in: The Bigger Picture | 0

It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and guess what? The pathocracy is continuing its self-uncontrollable crusade against all things natural and human with the release of a film version of that profound work of mental illness, Fifty Shades of Grey.

Fortunately, people are starting to realise exactly what kind of ideas the book represents, and are sharing this awareness with others in order to prevent possible tragedies. Several social media campaigns have been attempting to highlight the abusive nature of the relationship portrayed in the book, such as the “50 Dollars Not 50 Fifty Shades” campaign where, instead of seeing the movie, people are encouraged to donate $50 to a charity that helps abused women.

“The money you would have spent on movie tickets and a babysitter or movie tickets, popcorn and drinks will go towards serving victims of abusive relationships like the one glamorized in the Fifty Shades series,” the Facebook page reads.

Hollywood doesn’t need your money; abused women do.

ABC News reports:

Gail Dines, professor of sociology at Boston’s Wheelock College, founded the “50 dollars not 50 Shades” campaign and argues the film glorifies abusive relationships.

“This is about a seasoned predator who is a stalker and an abuser and sadist, honing in on a much younger woman,” Professor Dines said.

“It’s a fairy story in the sense of it’s not real, but in reality, it’s a horror story that many women live.

Another, ongoing, campaign is named “50 Shades Is Abuse“:

Natalie Collins, the British domestic violence worker behind the 50 Shades is Abuse campaign launched after the novels were published, told the Independent: “A lot of the criticism of our campaign is that there’s nothing wrong with BDSM – we’re not saying there is.”

“But people within the BDSM community are outraged by how the book portrays their lifestyle. This book romanticizes a perpetrator of abuse,”she added.

ABC News summarises the film as follows:

Originating from fan fiction, the film follows naive college student Anastasia Steele, 21, who undergoes a sexual awakening at the hands of seductive 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey, a practitioner of bondage, domination and sadomasochism (BDSM).

This scenario is completely ludicrous. How many 27-year-old billionaires do you know of??? And how many billionaires would likely mix in social circles where they just happen to meet 21-year-old college students??? And don’t get me started on the ridiculous and cliché names: “Anastasia Steele”… “Christian Grey”… do they end up seeing a relationship counsellor named “Hope Staytogether” at some point?

What seems far more likely is that this scenario is a contrived fantasy deliberately engineered to extract money from rich, gullible perverts. And let’s face it – if you have a billionaire as one of the main characters (and thus probably part of your target audience), you won’t have to look too far to find rich, gullible perverts.

It seems from the book’s popularity however, that many millions of people around the world identify with “rich, gullible perverts”, even if they themselves don’t classify as such. And considering the ‘herd factor’ of humanity regarding ‘trends’, we thus find ourselves with a problem: naive, non-pathological individuals who ‘mentally correct’ such pathological ideas as ‘kinky fun’ rather than seeing them for what they actually are – predatory, abusive and diseased practices – and end up causing their partners and/or themselves a great deal of harm.

And, as Natalie Collins points out, there is an even darker, more sinister aspect to this – the ‘redefinition’ of abuse as ‘romance’, in order to cloud the issue in the minds of the general public as to whether the direct victims of such sadists were really victims at all. This kind of thing can be considered ‘damage control’ by a culture of secretive predators who fear exposure of their activities and the legal consequences thereof. As Hervey Cleckley makes clear in his truly profound works “The Caricature of Love” and “The Mask of Sanity“, and Sandra L. Brown further elaborates in her book “Women Who Love Psychopaths“, sexual deviancy, especially that of a violent, sadistic kind, goes hand-in-hand with a diagnosis of psychopathy.

And when we have a secretive culture of psychopaths in positions of power and influence, we have a pathocracy, as Andrew Lobaczewski points out in his book “Political Ponerology“. Thus, this film can be considered both a direct attack on the values of healthy sexual relationships, and as ‘damage control’ by a pathocratic ‘elite’ that may be growing increasingly desperate to prevent their sexually deviant activities from becoming known by the wider public.

Am I perhaps overstating the matter? Let’s check some headlines so far this year on the subject, shall we?

Britain’s Prince Andrew accused of using ‘under-age sex slave’

Prince Andrew, son of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, has been accused of having sexual relations with an underage girl in a case submitted to a US court on Friday.

The woman involved in the case, who has not been named, told a court in Florida she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew multiple times by disgraced US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The statement is part of a wider case against Epstein, who is accused of “loaning out” the then-teenager to his friends and associates.

Police urged to investigate Prince Andrew’s bodyguards

There are fresh calls for police to investigate the bodyguards who accompanied Prince Andrew during his alleged visits to the homes of convicted sex offender and disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The protection officers who accompanied the Prince on the trips, where he allegedly had sexual relations with underage girls, have been accused of “turning a blind eye.

The Duke of York has become embroiled in an international sex-scandal after accusations that he had sex with a 17-year-old girl, which came to light during a separate sexual abuse investigation brought before Florida courts.

Now members of the Crime Committee and London Assembly Police have urged Scotland Yard to begin further investigations into the Duke’s bodyguards in order to ascertain whether or not they witnessed any criminal activity during visits to Epstein’s mansions.

‘Violent and brutal’: UK Foreign Office admits cover-up in St Helena child abuse scandal

Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) admits it made an “erroneous” report to the UN when it denied that child abuse was rife in the British overseas territory of St Helena.

The FCO has been accused of lying to the United Nations over “endemic” child sex abuse in the remote South Atlantic island to cover up allegations, including a case of a police officer having raped a four-year-old girl and another police officer having “mutilated a two-year-old.”

Timothy DeFoggi, 56, formerly of Germantown, Maryland, will now spend upwards of a quarter-century behind bars for engaging in a child exploitation enterprise and related charges brought in US District Court for the District of Nebraska in 2013 after prosecutors tied the former HHS cyber chief to a secret online website where sexually explicit images of children were shared among members.

Secret dossier on historic child abuse potentially seen by Thatcher – intelligence expert

A classified government file describing “unnatural” sexual activity occurring in Westminster circles in the early 1980s may have been seen by ex-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, an intelligence expert says.

The documents were stored in the ex-PM’s files, suggesting she may have seen them during her premiership.

A spokesman for the Cabinet Office told RT on Wednesday the dossier will be sent to Britain’s inquiry into historic child sex abuse.

The sensitive document was discovered by security and intelligence expert, Dr Chris Murphy, who was suspicious of its title: “PREM19/588 -SECURITY. Allegations against former public [missing word] of unnatural sexual proclivities; security aspects 1980 Oct 27 – 1981 Mar 20.

Murphy told Sky News he found the file when he was sifting through the “’PREM’ Prime Minister file series for the 1980s.”

Yarl’s Wood asylum seekers ‘sexually abused by staff’ and ‘denied privacy’ – charity

Female asylum seekers held at the UK’s Yarl’s Wood detention center are routinely degraded by male staff who monitor them while they are naked, using the toilet and showering, a refugee charity says. Allegations of sexual molestation have also been made.

A damning report, conducted by Women for Refugee Women, found that female immigrants in the detention center are often denied privacy and dignity. The research also uncovered claims of sexual misconduct carried out by staff.

Abuse inquiry barrister calls for removal of panel member

The senior barrister in charge of advising an historic sex abuse inquiry has asked for one of the panel members to be removed. This follows accusations he had bullied her and attempted to influence members of the panel.

Ben Emmerson QC protested against Sharon Evan’s position on the panel after she told its members that he had “overstepped the mark.”

Evans is one of only two abuse survivors to sit on the panel, which had a turbulent beginning after the two selected chairwomen, Baroness Butler-Sloss and Fiona Woolf, both stepped down.

Evans reportedly told MPs currently investigating internal failures in the committee that Emmerson had tried to exercise control over her during questioning, and influence her in such a way as to stop her giving “honest” answers to questions.

She told the Home Affairs Select Committee that she felt “bullied,” She also said she “felt intimidated by an adviser to the panel.”

Hundreds of UK child sex offenders spared jail, let off with cautions

Hundreds of sex offenders are being given lenient punishments by British judges despite committing “abhorrent” crimes against children.

According to official figures from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), hundreds of sex offenders have been let off with cautions, despite the law saying they should face jail sentences of up to 14 years.

According to the MoJ, there were 7,057 cautions handed to sex offenders in the UK since 2009.

The figures come as authorities investigate allegations of historic child abuse during the 1970s and 1980s, including a suspected elite pedophile ring consisting of serving British politicians.

Child abuse victims suffer death threats after minister published names online

Survivors of child abuse claim they have endured death threats after a Commons committee chairman published swathes of emails containing the names of victims online.

The victims in question, who have campaigned tirelessly for changes to Britain’s child abuse inquiry, condemned Keith Vaz’s decision to publish emails that identify them.

Vaz, who holds the position of chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee (HASC), uploaded the emails onto the Committee’s official website.

The disagreement is the latest scandal to envelop the independent inquiry, which has been halted previously over a firestorm of criticism regarding its lack of robustness and transparency.

Comments and actions of some of its panel representatives have also courted controversy.

Lucy Duckworth, of the Survivors Alliance, which supports UK survivors of child abuse, told The Guardian that the release of the emails had sparked a series of death threats.

In a letter to Home Secretary Theresa May, the abuse victims accused Vaz of breaching their trust. They also said comments in the published emails were deeply arrogant and appeared ignorant of their plight.

It’s not rape if victim is drunk, claims top UK barrister

One of Britain’s leading barristers has provoked outrage after saying men should not be prosecuted for rape if a female victim claims they were too drunk to consent to sex.

David Osborne, 71, made the comments in a blog post called “She Was Gagging For It.”

The senior lawyer posted objections to the new Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) guidelines, which state men should be able to prove consent was given.

He slated the new guidelines for being “bent towards the conviction of the accused” and referred to potential victims of abuse as “complainants.

The three-year-long study was based on intelligence reports into police forces across England and Wales.

Originally concluded in June 2013, the report was only made public Thursday as part of a wider investigation into police corruption led by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC).

HMIC said: “The assessment highlighted corruption for sexual gratification is a major concern. The number of reported incidents has been increasing since 2009.”

Exclusive Sydney school to become focus of child sexual abuse royal commission

Exclusive Sydney school Knox Grammar is set to become the focus of a royal commission, with a public hearing to examine how a number of teachers were able to molest boys for decades.

Located on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Knox Grammar boasts former prime ministers and prominent actors amongst its alumni.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is turning its attention to the school to examine how the independent school, run by the Uniting Church, responded to concerns about inappropriate conduct from 1970 to 2012.

In 2009 and 2010, four men pleaded guilty to abusing students at Knox Grammar.

The high profile cases included former teacher Craig Treloar, who was jailed in 2010 for abusing four boys aged from 11 to 13 between 1986 and 1987.

Another teacher, Adrian Nisbett, was handed a suspended sentence in the same year for molesting boys in 1976 and 1986.

It has been revealed that the men continued teaching after the abuse. In at least one instance, the crimes went unnoticed for more than 20 years.

Child abuse royal commission: Victim brands Jewish Yeshivah community ‘rotten to core’

A child abuse victim has branded the [Sydney] Jewish Yeshivah community “rotten to the core” and has called for leaders who ignored molestation to be banished from power, a royal commission has heard.

The man, known as AVB, was 10 when, in the 1980s, he was sexually abused at Sydney’s Yeshiva Bondi centre, at the hands of now convicted child abusers Daniel Hayman and David Cyprys.

AVB, who is now a member of Melbourne’s Yeshivah community, reported the abuse to police three years ago.

Giving evidence at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, AVB said Yeshivah had a “culture of enablers” and many rabbis and jewish leaders within the Chabad community continued to denigrate the victims and rally around the perpetrators.

“This whole thing is vile from beginning to end,” he said.

AVB told the inquiry rabbis who knew of abuse should be held accountable and banned from leadership positions.

Yesterday, Rabbi Feldman, a leader within the Sydney Yeshivah community, said paedophiles should not be treated like “scum of the earth” and should not go to jail for historic cases of abuse if they had repented and received treatment.

He also stated publicity about child abuse encouraged “fake victims” who wanted to be “heroes” to come forward.

It also found the rates of violence toward women by men [were] significantly higher in England compared to other European countries.

Nearly half of British women killed by men between 2009 and 2013 died at the hands of their partners or ex-partners, a new report has shown, adding further pressure on the government to provide more security for vulnerable women.

Need I go on? I doubt it.

Especially in some of these latter articles, we can clearly see the effects of having a psychopathic, sexually-deviant ‘pop-culture’ and psychopathic, sexually-deviant leaders on Western society in general.

Boycott that movie. Spend your Valentine’s Day with your loved one, and cherish them.
